Itinerary

Arrival in Chandigarh at 21:25 hrs ex Jaipur by Indigo airlines 6E 7414 01st May 2024: Departure Amritsar to Bangalore at 1605/1920 hrs by Indigo Airlines. Arrival Chandigarh (2125 hrs by flight ex Jaipur) Arrival Chandigarh airport around 2125 hrs and transfer to hotel for check in and overnight stay. Dinner and overnight stay at Chandigarh.

Chandigarh – Shimla (150 km/03 hrs drive) Breakfast is at hotel Chandigarh, the capital of the states of the Punjab and Haryana set at the foothills of the majestic Himalayas, was planned by the French architect Le Corbusier after India’s independence. The young-at-heart, fast-growing and progressive city is striking for its urban planning, impressive buildings with brise-soleil facades, well-organized sectors and broad tree-lined avenues. Morning visit to Rock Garden, The world-acclaimed Rock Garden, dotted with sculptures created from scrap materials and unusual rock formations, is Chandigarh’s pride. Created from discarded concrete and tiles, this unique garden spreading over 64 acres showcases urban art and offers a quiet spot to relax. Created in the 1970’s by artist Nek Chand it is indeed a fascinating amalgam of nature’s marvels and man’s creativity. Sukhna Lake, The 3 sq kms manmade Sukhna Lake is an idyllic retreat for a communion with nature. The pretty Zakir Rose Garden, named after India’s illustrious former President Dr. Zakir Hussain, is Asia’s largest rose garden. Spread over 27 acres, it is dotted with more than 17,000 rose bushes embracing 1,600 species and dramatic colour fountains. Afternoon transfer to Shimla and check in at hotel Dinner and overnight at Shimla Built in 1938 as the summer residence of the Raja of Jubbal, the place is today an exclusive heritage hotel for those who believe in elegant living. Surrounded by pine trees in five acres of prime land in the heart of Shimla, the former summer capital of British India.

Breakfast is at hotel Shimla Today we can visit various important sights of Shimla including Shimla's popular Mall Road, the colonial buildings of Peter Hoff, the Vice Regal Lodge, Gorton Castle, Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple, Shimla highest point at Jakhoo hill, Telegraph Office, Gaiety Theatre, Christ Church and infamous Scandal Point. Later part explore the ski destination of Kufri (25 km/60 minutes), Kufri has lured mountain lovers for decades. The slopes are not for professionals, but the short to advanced runs are tailor-made for the enthusiast. Yak rides for children are an added attraction. Dinner and overnight stay in Shimla.

Shimla – Manali (250 km/06 hrs drive) via Kullu / Manikaran Early breakfast at hotel and surface transfer to Manali enroute visit Kullu / Manikaran / Kasol (diversion of 30 km one way ex Kullu – 03 hrs) for Gurudwara, hot spring and Kasol village Evening arrival in Manali and check in at hotel Dinner and overnight stay at Manali Manali lies on the banks of the river Beas in Kullu which is ever so often referred to as ‘The Valley of the Gods’. Kullu is an important district of arguably one of the most serene and bountiful states of Himachal Pradesh in North India. An ancient trade route originated in Manali, leading to Ladakh and there on over the Karakoram Pass to Yarkand and Khotan. This is the land of eternal snow peaks, where plains of the Indian subcontinent give way to the majesty of the Himalayas. Kullu Valley leads to Manali, which is the indisputable adventure playground of the Indian Himalayas. Time magazine featured Manali among ‘Best of Asia’ for its ‘Extreme Yak Sport’. North of Manali lays the Rohtang Pass, which is the gateway to Leh, Lahaul and Spiti.

Manali Breakfast is at hotel Full day excursion to Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel / Sissu Valley (Subjected to weather conditions), The Solang Valley undoubtedly one of the most spectacular and impressive valleys of Himachal Pradesh. 9 km away from Manali is Solang Valley. It is from Beas Kund which is the source of river Beas and this is the same spot where Manarani Ved Vyas wrote the famous epic Mahabharata. It is said Solang valley was the route taken by Pandavas to Heaven. At the Solang valley an ice Shivling is formed during winters which is said to be taller than the Shivling formed at Amarnath. Besides being a picture postcard perfect Solang Valley is the place where the slopes are ideal for paragliding and skiing. Best adventure routes and treks start from this area. Optional Rohtang Pass: Enjoy optional Adventure Activities including Skiing and Tube Slides, Snow Scooter and Santa Snow Sledge Rides Enroute visit - Nehru Kund, Kothi Gorges, Gulaba, Rahla Water Falls and Rani Nallah Evening return to Manali for overnight stay Dinner and overnight at Manali .

MANALI Breakfast is at hotel Later proceed for Local sightseeing including visits to Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht Hot Water Sulphur Springs, Buddhist Monastery, Club House, and Nehru Kund, Naggar (Jagatsukh Ancient Temple, The Naggar Castle and Roerich Art Gallery). Afternoon is free for shopping or walk into Mall road in Manali Dinner and overnight at Manali.

Manali – Dharamshala (250 km/ 06 – 07 hrs) Breakfast is at hotel Later vehicle transfer to Dharamshala Afternoon arrival in Dharamshala and check in at hotel Later visit Cirket Stadium and War Memorial in Dharamshala Dinner and overnight at Mcleodganj / Dharamshala.

Dharamshala – Mcleodganj (10 km/30 minutes) Breakfast is at hotel Later drive to Mcleodganj to visit Dalai Lama temple, monastries and his residence. Later visit Bhagsu Nag temple, waterfalls and St John’s church, Dal Lake and local Kotwali market. If time permits trekking can be done nearby Dharamshala Rest of day is free at leisure or shopping. Dinner and Overnight at Mcleodganj / Dharamshala.

Dharamshala – Amritsar Breakfast is at hotel Transfer to Amritsar and check in at hotel. Later visit Wagha – Attari Border to witness beating retreat. Evening visit Golden temple complex and local markets Dinner and overnight at Amritsar.

Flight Departure at 1600 hrs Breakfast is at hotel Morning visit to Jallion-wala Bagh, Partition Museum and Golden temple. Afternoon departure transfer to Amritsar airport for flight at 1600 hrs to Bangalore Tour Ends.
